If you are looking for a way to store and keep track of your ARRL Radiogram messages then check out the links below. There are two programs to help you with that. These programs were made to help eliminate paper and to give people a place to keep track of their messages and in some cases a way to copy them down faster.
During the spring and summer of 2022 the Central New York Amateur Radio Club started a 50/50 raffle. Selling tickets at local Hamfests, stores, business and racking up a good amount to split with the winner. It was a fun time and the club got the word out about Amateur Radio while selling tickets. Tickets were sold at the Field Day to any visitors that stopped by. Field day was a great success and has a post of its own.
A local Ham operator in Utica KC2IIJ (Mike Long) was the winner of the 50/50 split and being the kind of guy he is he turned around and donated it back to the club. What a way to pay it forward!
The club is planning on holding another 50/50 raffle next spring and summer. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets to help with the repeater and thanks to all who sold tickets.
November 12 was a good day for a dual POTA (Parks on the Air). We had two club members at Chittenango Falls State Park (K-2035) Shaun (N2EWC) and Ed (KD2WNW). Two others were at Tug Hill Wildlife Management Area (K-9103) Marc (KR2HWK) and Josiah (KR2ECP). During their dual park activations they made some great contacts and were able to do a Park to Park on 40m during the day.
There are some photos below from one park where they remembered to take photos, Shaun and Ed while the other park activators forgot, Marc and Josiah. In that list of pictures is also a map of their contacts. It was a busy day for both groups and in total they completed 101 contacts. 30 were accomplished at Chittenango Falls and 71 were completed at Tug Hill. Elevation at Tug Hill was around 1942 ft and Chittenango Falls was about 861 ft.
Both groups had a great time. If you are interested in more information about Parks on the Air (POTA) Check out this website. POTA

Also, we will be doing things a little differently. There will be a presentation on POTA (Parks on the Air) and the meeting will be following the presentation. The meeting this month will be a type of potluck as some members will be bringing for to share and pass around.
Everyone is welcome to join us for the presentation and to stay for the meeting afterward if they desire. We look forward to anyone that wishes to come to a meeting and enjoy some food fun and fellowship.
It’s that time of the year again. We are holding our annual Christmas Party. This year our meeting falls on the 80th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, December 7th 2021. Please take a moment to remember those lives that were lost defending our country.
We will be holding our Christmas Party at Denny’s in Oneida, NY, starting at 6 pm in their conference room. If you arrive later that is okay. You can sit and enjoy and order food if you feel so inclined.
We welcome all guests that want to attend and find out more about our club. If you wish to bring a dessert to pass that is allowed as it has already been discussed with Denny’s.
This is also our election night so our members should be prepared to vote and make nominations. We hope to see you all there and again everyone is welcome.
