Honor America Days Parade – Volunteers Needed 2018

Volunteers are needed for the Honor America Days Parade on June 28 in Rome, NY.

This will be one of the most interesting experiences you will have working a public service event. You are not a bystander, you are a participant! You will actually drive your vehicle in the parade, please make sure it’s presentable. Our role has not changed from previous years. We block the side roads off at 8AM for the Road Race and then assist the parade marshals in lining up the divisions. Our primary responsibility is to report changes to the lineups. You will then lead your division on the parade route to the finish at Dominick and James St. at Ft. Stanwix. I will have full parade lineups and maps for everyone Saturday morning.

Please call John Sallsutio for more info:

Field Day 2018 Update

Field Day 1028 was a great success. We were able to make close to 300 contacts. 11 contacts were QRP and we had some great visitors including a few from some public agencies. We will have a further update at our next meeting which is July 10th. The Fenner Wind Farm was so nice to have as our location and we thank them greatly for the use and their hospitality. We had great help in setting up and taking down and also with running radios. It was a wonderful time and we are already planning for next year.

Below are some pictures of our time there.
