Effectively immediately, the First Cup Net and the After Dinner Net will be at thier normal times on the MOARC 2 Meter repeater located in Oneida, NY.
The frequency is 145.170.
The CNYARA would like to thank the members of the MOARC club for graciously allowing us to use thier repeater while we continue to upgrade to our new repeater.
The N2CNY repeater at 145.210 located in Saquoit, NY was taken offline this morning as a step in the replacement of the antiquated technology.
The old repeater has served us well but has become unreliable and too costly to operate in its current condition and location.
The Central New York Amateur Radio Association is shopping for new equipment which will allow us to move forward and bring the club into the 21st century.
We feel that our community will be better served by a repeater with echolink and possibly digital capability.
The CNYARA will be making arrangements with other clubs to be able to continue operation of the First Cup and After Dinner Nets until our new equipment is up and running.
We are excited to be able to open up our repeater to hams all over the world.
The Central New York Amateur Radio Association has started a new Facebook page.
Club treasurer Deb Catlin (KD2IUY) launched the new page on Tuesday August 2, 2016.
